For those that know me, this is not news but I just love food, I am a major foodie and love good food. I love cooking and eating healthy. I love trying new recipes’ and I love cooking with love for those that I love. It’s all about the way you think, I cannot stress this enough.
What are weight loss foods? do they exist?” this sounds too good to be true” is just one of the thoughts when I first heard of them. Let’s explore the wonder of the wonderful foods we were blessed with on this earth and who knows we might just discover some foods we love and never even know existed.
Love your food and it will love you
Do you love what you eat? Does it make you feel great? Does your food inspire you to live well, if not your relationship with food is not correct and needs improvement? Food was never meant to be your god it was meant to fuel you and fuel you while you are enjoying it.
Your food will definitely make you feel good or bad. Your body is just like any other vehicle. If the fuel is bad the vehicle cannot perform at maximum capacity. Put dirty Petrol and a car and see what happens, doesn’t matter how great the car it will be a struggle. This is common sense so why do you do that with your body????

I want people to understand how serious I am by making this statement. Anyone with a mind would never switch fuels in their car like I mentioned it just won’t work. The greatest vehicle you will ever own is your body so why is it not getting the respect it should. I know I am a bit off point but when I get you to realise this your food will become so important and you will think about how you eat.

So let’s look at some high-performance fuels for your vehicle. Let’s look at the foods we were supposed to eat and the foods one should eat and why; best of all let’s look at the foods that will actually make you lose weight. What are these healthy wonderful foods and how to use them well? I specifically want to focus on superfoods. There are hundreds of tasty healthy foods but there are just some that are in a class of their own called super food.

What so many forget is that different foods behave differently in your body and use different path’s so we can’t just think of immediate satisfaction of getting full it’s about way more than that. Different foods have different effects on your hunger, your hormones and on the way you burn calories. Your metabolism will be affected differently by different foods.

Whole Eggs: I have always loved eggs but for very long steered clear as I heard that they are terrible for your cholesterol, this wonder food is making a comeback as science are proving facts that were also unknown. New studies have proven that eggs do not adversely affect your cholesterol nor does it cause heart attacks.
Eggs are also the best food to eat if you are serious about losing weight. Eggs are extremely high in protein, healthy fats and can keep you full for long periods of time and the best is they are low in calories. One study has proven that eatings eggs instead of bagels made a group of 30 women eat less for the next 36 hours and made them feel more satisfied.
Eggs are very nutrient dense and supply you with most of the nutrients you need on a calorie restricted diet. Eggs are a rich source of selenium, Vitamin D, B6, B12 and minerals such as Zinc, iron and copper.
The Leafy greens not to leave!
There are many to mention a few are kale, spinach, collards and swiss cards. These foods are great for weight loss as they are very low in carbs and calories and very high in fibre. They are a great way to ad volume to your food without increasing calories. Studies have shown meals with a low energy density make people eat fewer calories overall.
Leafy greens are very nutritious and high in vitamins, antioxidants and minerals including calcium which has shown to aid in fat burning.
Fatty Fish are great for you and not only is it satisfying it is extremely healthy keeping you full for hours on relatively little calories. Salmon, for example, are high in protein and full of good fats and high in the nutrients your body needs.

They can be used in many ways and work well in most salads and they are delicious on their own as well. They contain many nutrients including fibre and potassium.

I can definitely say I am nutty for nuts, I love them and thankfully they are so healthy. Despite being high in fat they are not nearly as fattening as was believed. They are an excellent snack and they contain balanced amounts of protein, fibre and healthy fat. Studies have shown that eating nuts can improve the metabolism and they can promote weight loss.
Studies have shown that people eating nuts tend to be leaner and more healthy than those that don’t. Just be aware not go overboard as they are high in calories.

In my opinion, this is a miracle food that has been a great addition to my diet. This has improved the function of my gut as it contains probiotic bacteria. Make sure to choose Yogurt with live active cultures as other types of yoghurt to contain virtually no probiotics.
Full fat Yogurt has been associated with a reduced risk of obesity and types 2 diabetes. This is way better than low-fat Yogurt which is loaded with sugar.
It is very easy to find healthy foods to include in a weight loss diet. They are normally whole foods like fish, lean meat, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds and legumes. Many processed foods can also be healthy options like yoghurt but do your research when starting a diet.
