Before we look at the weight loss tea industry I always recommend that when you start on any diet it is always safe to consult your healthcare worker. Once again as I have said in other articles I will give you an objective perspective on the industry and I don’t get paid by anyone to speak for or against any product I simply do it to supply you with valuable information and some health facts. So let’s get into this exciting industry that is growing at a phenomenal rate. I have always found this very interesting ,how can a tea make you lose weight? There must be specifics that a tea does in your body and what are they and more importantly how healthy are they really? What is the pro’s and cons and what does it do for me and how is something as simple as tea going to influence my life?

In this article, I am going to list some of the best tea’s out there and do some research on them and also compare some of them here for you. There are hundreds of the tea’s on the market so I will extract about  of the top ranking tea’s and we can look at them in debt.

Green tea, Puerh Tea, Black Tea, Oolong Tea and White Tea are all tea’s with a high rating so let’s research them see what the claims are and how beneficial they are really for our health. I have always wanted to try an all natural product for my health.

Green tea

Green Tea has been linked to many health benefits over the years and most of us are familiar with this tea or has had some at some point. There is substantial evidence that green tea decreases weight and body fat.

A few years ago a study was done with over 50 obese people and they were put on a 12-week diet on green tea and 50% per cent on something that they thought was green tea. The group that was actually on green tea lost 3.3 kg more weight per person than those that were on the placebo.

Puerh Tea

Black Tea

Black tea is a type of tea that is more oxidized than most other teas. It is stronger in flavour than other less oxidized tea’s. All of the four black tea’s are made from the shrub Camellia sinus. Black tea does contain caffeine but it is also full of healthy substances called polyphenols. Polyphenols are antioxidants that protect your DNA from Cell damage and it also protects against cell damage.  The reason why this tea is beneficial for weight loss is that it reduces calory consumption.

It will definitely be a great addition to your diet if you replace high calory drink with this one.  A cup of black tea has an astonishing 2 calories. Even if you ad a teaspoon of honey it will only have about 20 calories.  It is however advisable not to take too much of this tea. I suggest with everything and in this instance take it in moderation. You may have the following side effects when having too much of this tea, remember it contains caffeine so here are some of the side effects. Headache, nervousness, sleep problems, and diarrhoea is some of the side effects that may be experienced when this tea is abused. The standard is about five of these cups of tea per day but if you consume more of this tea than that you will be taking in too much caffeine. We have seen that the biggest problems in most of these teas are our age-old enemy caffeine and having so little caffeine is majorly beneficial.  The tea is so low in caffeine that some people refer to it as decaffeinated tea. This is not correct but it has very little caffeine. Of all teas, it has the lowest caffeine content which is 30 -55 mg. There are four main variations of white tea and they all have the above-mentioned health benefits.  White tea promotes weight loss but is also know to help in the treatment of diabetes.
